Analisis Usaha Tani Kedelai Di Kecamatan Seram Utara Kabupaten Maluku Tengah

Kabupaten Maluku Tengah merupakan salah satu wilayah potensial untuk pengembangan pertanian dan perlu mendapat perhatian tersendiri mengingat bahwa potensi lahan didaerah ini masih cukup luas. Kecamatan Seram Utara merupakan kecamatan yang memiliki luas paling besar di Kabupaten Maluku Tengah sehingga masih digunakan untuk tujuan transmigrasi. Salah satu tanaman pangan yang masih harus terus dikembangkan adalah tanaman kedelai dimana produktivitas dalam negeri belum mencapai swasembada. Salah satu cara meningkatkan produktivitas kedelai adalah dengan menanam varietas unggul tanaman dimana memiliki produktivitas tinggi dan adaptif terhadap berbagai lingkungan agroekosistem. Pemilihan varietas kedelai yang akan ditanam oleh petani salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh produktivitas panen sehingga dengan adanya uji lapang ini diharapkan dapat menjadikan opsi yang menguntungkan bagi petani. Berdasarkan uji dilapang varietas unggul baru tanaman kedelai yang dilakukan di Kecamatan Seram Utara menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas varietas Ijen sebesar 1,06 t/ha, Willis sebesar 0.93 t/ha, Kaba sebesar 0,91 t/ha, Argomulyo sebesar 0,85t/ha dan Tanggamus sebesar 0,69 t/ha. Analisa usahatani menunjukkan varietas Ijen memiliki keuntungan terbesar dan R/C rasio yang tinggi dibandingkan dengan varietas lain sehingga layak dibudidayakan dan dikembangkan diwilayah transmigrasi Kecamatan Seram Utara. Pengaruh Luas Lahan dan Pupuk Bersubsidi Terhadap Produksi Padi Nasional

Rice has become a staple food of Indonesia's population. The target of rice self-sufficiency continued to be a priority of the government until 2017. This study aims to analyze land use and subsidized fertilizer that affect national rice production and analysis description of the factors that affect rice production covering the spread and proportion in each of the major islands in Indonesia. The data used in this study was a secondary data derived from agricultural statistics of 2013 issued by the Data Center and Information Ministry of Agriculture. The data was processed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results that the national rice production was affected by land use, realization of subsidized urea fertilizer, realization of subsidized SP-36 fertilizer, and realization of subsidized ZA fertilizer. All of these factors on rice production was inelastic in the short term or long term. Java and Bali Island have the highest proportion in all the factors that affect national rice production.

Review on the Performances of Cihateup Duck (Anas platyrhynchos Javanica) as Genetic Resource of Local Poultry in Indonesia

Cihateup duck is one of the local Indonesian poultry genetic resources originated from West Java. These ducks are raised in Tasikmalaya and its surrounding area. Cihateup duck raised as layer or meat type duck is potential to provide business opportunities for people in West Java. For future development of Cihateup duck, some important potential characteristics of Cihateup ducks are required. This paper describes the phenotype performance, rearing management of Cihateup ducks and its genetic relationship with other ducks. Cihateup ducks have longer neck, wing, femur and tibia compared with other Indonesian ducks. Egg production (200 egg/head/year) is lower than Alabio and Mojosari ducks. The quality of meat (taste and flavour) is less preferred by consumers because of its odor. Genetic relationship between Cihateup duck with local ducks in Java is closer than Alabio ducks from South Kalimantan.
